Sheffield United chief remains coy about links with Portsmouth ace

Speaking to Sheffield United’s official YouTube channel, Chris Wilder has refused to be drawn into transfer speculation surrounding Sheffield United and Enda Stevens.
According to the Sheffield Star, the Blades are close to securing a deal for Stevens, who is out of contract with Portsmouth and set to leave Fratton Park this summer.
However, Wilder refused to comment about any specific player, insisting until they were in a “red and white shirt” he would continue with his stance.
When asked about potentially brining the Pompey left-back to Bramall Lane, Wilder said: “I’d like to bring a lot of players to this football club.
“If we lose Chris Hussey, then we might need to bring a left-back in to battle it out with Danny Lafferty.”

The Blades are set to compete in the Sky Bet Championship next season for the first time since 2011, after Wilder inspired the club to both promotion and the League One title in his first full campaign with the club.
Wilder has already set about strengthening his squad ahead of their Championship return, with Ched Evans returning to Bramall Lane from Chesterfield.
