Speaking to the club’s official YouTube channel, Sheffield United manager Chris Wilder has heaped praise on his side, as they edge closer to a return to the Sky Bet Championship.

Saturday’s 2-1 victory over Charlton Athletic, where the Blades fought from a goal behind, saw Wilder’s side continue their surge towards promotion and maintain their comfortable cushion at the top of the League One table.

Reflecting on his side’s performance against Charlton, Wilder spoke highly of his players, he said: “I can’t give my players enough credit, week in week out, that’s why we are in this position, because they turn up and are proper players.

“Players on the opposition are technical players, good players, but my players are all round good players.

“For us to be 31-points ahead of Charlton says something about what we are about.”

Wilder’s side are ten-points clear of third-placed Fleetwood Town in the League One table, and hold a nine-point advantage over second-placed Bolton Wanderers, as the Blades look a certainty for both the title and automatic promotion.

Next up for Wilder’s side is a clash with relegation threatened Oldham Athletic on Saturday afternoon, where they will be looking for their fourth consecutive victory.
