Sheffield United boss Chris Wilder will be looking to build on a successful first season in the Championship and get the side challenging for the play-offs once again.

The Blades settled instantly to life in the second tier and were even leading the way early on. Ultimately though, they couldn't sustain their promotion push and missed out on the top six.

Nevertheless, it was a positive campaign but Wilder will know they need to bring in new players to do even better in the next 12 months.

Therefore, it will be quality over quantity this summer and here we look at three potential arrivals that the Yorkshire side could complete...

The keeper was at Bramall Lane last season and did very well, establishing himself as Wilder's number one.

Given that, it's understandable why the Blades are keen to bring him back and with Blackman way down the pecking order at Chelsea you would expect a deal to be agreed.

Dean Henderson may have arrived but having Blackman to compete wouldn't be the worst idea.

Wilder needs to add more excitement and flair to his team and Palmer would provide that.

Sometimes they can be a bit predictable going forward but that would change if the Chelsea man arrives as he has great pace, power and can pick a pass.

The big Southampton striker struggled at times with Birmingham last season but he still has the potential to be a top player at this level.

And, you'd back Wilder to get the best out of him and if he did then Gallagher could give the Blades a great option up front that they currently lack.
