According to football journalist Jonathan Buchan, Chris Wilder has admitted that Sheffield United face a defensive reshuffle ahead of this weekend’s league clash with Oldham Athletic.
Sheffield United travel to Boundary Park this weekend in a deceptively tricky game against the League One strugglers.
Oldham have enjoyed a revival since John Sheridan returned to the helm as manager but they are still mired in a relegation battle.
Sheffield United, on the other hand, are storming ahead at the top of the league and looking to secure promotion soon.
They currently sit ten points adrift of third placed Fleetwood Town.
However, Blades boss Chris Wilder will have to do without Daniel Lafferty this weekend after the left back was called up by Northern Ireland.
While Wilder is pleased for his defender, he has also admitted that it will be inconvenient to his defensive shape, according to BBC Radio Sheffield’s Jonathan Buchan.
