Liverpool have received loan bids from two Championship clubs for Ben Woodburn, according to Goal.

Norwich City and Sheffield United have both submitted bids to take Woodburn on loan for the 2018/19 campaign but Liverpool are set to run the rule over him in pre-season before making a decision.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp wants to assess Woodburn and Harry Wilson in case they are ready for first-team football and he does not want to rush into sending them out on loan.

Norwich are hoping to replace outbound James Maddison and Josh Murphy's creativity with Woodburn, who has impressed when given chances at Liverpool.

The 7-cap Wales international burst onto the scene with a debut goal against Leeds United and he has now played 11 senior matches.

The 18-year-old is also wanted by Sheffield United, who are hoping to bring in Woodburn to replace his international team-mate David Brooks.

But the pair might need to wait before they can capture their man.

The Verdict

Woodburn would be an excellent addition for either club as he provides such an attacking threat.

The winger-come-forward offers goals, assists, skill and creativity, which would strengthen either side.

Liverpool should let him continue his development on loan in a competitive environment and a move to the Championship would be ideal for his career progression.
