Sheffield United and Bradford City are just two of the clubs thought to be chasing the signature of Carlisle hitman Charlie Wyke, according to a report by HITC Sport.

It appears it will be a tall order for Carlisle to keep hold of their star man with the likes of Preston North End and Burton Albion also reportedly showing interest in the 24-year-old.

The former Middlesbrough trainee has been in red hot form so far this season and is among the top scorers in League Two having netted 12 times already.

The report states that Wyke has 18 months remaining on his current deal, meaning that Carlisle aren't in a position where they are desperate to sell however, every player has his price.

The 24-year-old enjoyed loan spells with the likes of Hartlepool United, AFC Wimbledon and Kettering Town before sealing his move to Brunton Park and has gone from strength to strength since.
