According to HITC Sports, a trio of Championship clubs are chasing outcast Watford defender Tommie Hoban for a loan deal this summer.

It is thought that Queens Park Rangers, Sheffield United and Bolton Wanderers are all showing an interest in the centre-back, who spent the entirety of the 2016/17 season on loan at Blackburn Rovers.

The Hornets reportedly highly-rate Hoban, however, following his recovery from a dislocated shoulder injury, they are keen to see him get game time elsewhere before featuring in the first team at Vicarage Road.

The 23-year-old has worked his way up the ladder at in Hertfordshire, since making his professional debut six years ago on the final day of the 2010/11 campaign against Preston North End, coming on as a substitute.

Sheffield United and Bolton Wanderers have both just enjoyed promotion to the second-tier and will be looking to strengthen their backlines ahead of next season, whereas Ian Holloway is expected to overhaul his squad at QPR in preparation for his first pre-season at the club since returning to Loftus Road.

Tommie Hoban has little experience at Championship, although he does have eleven caps to his name for the Republic of Ireland under-21 team.
