Aston Villa boss Steve Bruce hit out at his critics after his team beat Rotherham 2-0 at Villa Park last night.

The victory ended a five game winless run and was much-needed, with the pressure seriously building on the experienced manager.

Many fans were annoyed at the recent results, along with the performances, feeling the side are capable of much more.

Yet, Bruce decided to come out fighting after the match against the Millers, highlighting his own record for promotions as well as claiming the majority of Villa fans support him when speaking to the Express & Star.

He also then had a message for those criticising him: "Now we are sitting in sixth. I hope it shuts a few up. But I doubt it."

Perhaps unsurprisingly, this didn't go down well with many Villa supporters, who feel that victory against the newly-promoted Yorkshire side isn't enough to warrant this talk from Bruce.

Here's how some reacted to his outburst...
