Sunday’s clash between Newport County and Leeds United is still making headlines, with the Sky Bet League Two side revelling in their 2-1 victory over the Whites.

A Conor Shaughnessy own-goal and a Shawn McCoulsky header secured Newport a passage to the fourth-round of the FA Cup, embarrassing Leeds, who once failed to make an impact in the competition.

The 26-year-old has been forced to issue an apology to Leeds, Newport and Willmott, which the Newport man has moved to accept on his personal Twitter account, with the 27-year-old responding with a classy message to Saiz.

Willmott wished Leeds and Saiz all the best of the remainder of the season, brushing off any ill-feeling following Sunday’s clash.
