Sheffield Wednesday manager Jos Luhukay has confirmed that winger Marco Matias is “another 2 to 4 weeks away from returning”, according to reports from Sheffield Star journalist Dom Howson.
The 29-year-old has been a key player for the Owls this season, however, he has been out of action since Wednesday’s 2-1 away victory at Sheffield Wednesday last month.
And Luhukay has confirmed, in his pre-match press conference for Friday night’s clash with Middlesbrough, that the winger is still “another 2-4 weeks away from returning” to first-team action.
JL tells me Marco Matias is still out. Has been out for a month but JL admits he could be another 2-4 weeks away from returning. #SWFC

The Yorkshire club have been unlucky with injuries of late, after news broke out on Thursday afternoon that forward Fernando Forestieri would also spend another few weeks on the sidelines through a hamstring injury.
With the Owls looking to extend their unbeaten run to five league games with victory over their promotion rivals on Friday, here, we take to Twitter to get the Wednesday fans’ reactions to this recent, frustrating news.
