Plenty of Queens Park Rangers fans have reacted on social media, after the club confirmed that winger David Wheeler has joined Wycombe Wanderers on a free transfer.

The 28-year-old joined QPR from Exeter City in August 2017 for a reported fee of £500,000, but struggled to make an impact at Loftus Road and scored just one goal in nine appearances in 2017/18.

The winger spent time the first half of last season on loan at Portsmouth, scoring three goals in 18 appearances for Kenny Jackett's side.

He spent the second half of the 2018/19 campaign on loan at MK Dons where he scored four goals in 19 appearances, helping the team win promotion from League Two.

QPR finished 19th in the Championship table last season, eleven points above the relegation zone and will be hoping to challenge further up the table this season under new manager Mark Warburton.

Wheeler has signed a three-year deal with Wycombe and could make his debut for his new club on the opening day of the season against Bolton Wanderers at Adams Park this weekend.

Plenty of QPR fans took to social media to react to his departure from the club. Some fans wished the player all the best for the new chapter of his career, while others questioned why he was never given a proper chance at Loftus road.
