Ipswich Town have confirmed that Bartosz Bialkowski has completed a permanent move to Championship side Millwall for an undisclosed fee.

The Polish keeper joined the Lions on an initial loan deal in the summer after the Tractor Boys were relegated to League One and he has shone for the Londoners.

Therefore, they were always expected to make the move a permanent one and that has been the case, with Ipswich announcing the news on their website earlier today.

That brings an end to Bialkowski's five-and-a-half years with the Suffolk outfit during which time he made 178 appearances for the club and he impressed on the whole, winning the Player of the Year award three times in a row from 2016.

So, it's fair to say many Ipswich fans were gutted by today's news even if it didn't come as a shock as a departure always seemed inevitable from the moment they were relegated to the third tier.
