‘Shambles’ – These Leeds fans respond to Daniel James latest as transfer deadline looms

Daniel James remains a target for Leeds United at this late stage of the January transfer window, but the winger starts this evening for Swansea City.

Leeds are looking to strengthen their options out wide, with The Sun reporting yesterday that a deal worth up to £10m could be agreed for James, who seems to be the club’s priority.

However, nothing has progressed today, with Leeds supporters learning this evening that James would be starting against Birmingham City.

An announcement came from Swansea at 18:45, confirming the 21-year-old was set to feature heavily against the Blues.

The Elland Road faithful were awaiting the team news to see if James was featuring, with that likely to hint whether a deal was close.

And, with the transfer window closing in just over 48 hours, some believe that puts an end to Leeds’ pursuit.
