Swansea City signed Ryan Manning from QPR ahead of yesterday's deadline for domestic signings and many fans of the west London club have been left outraged by the £250,000 initial fee.

The 24-year-old joined the Welsh club yesterday, signing a three-year deal at the Liberty Stadium.

According to West London Sport, the Swans have paid an initial fee of £250,000 for the defender whose contract with the R's was set to expire next summer.

Manning was a regular fixture in Mark Warburton's side last term and showed his quality in the final third, scoring five goals and providing seven assists.

However, he appeared to have fallen out of favour this season with his only appearance coming in the Carabao Cup.

The left-back was linked with a move away from the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium during the summer window, with West Ham United among the clubs touted with an interest.

Manning did leave before Friday's deadline but it was to join Championship rivals Swansea rather than moving to the Premier League.

Do QPR and Brentford have these 10 things in common?

His exit appears to have caught the attention of R's supporters, with many taking to Twitter to reveal their outrage at the fee paid for him.
