Charlton Athletic beat Lincoln City 3-1 at The Valley last night to keep their play-off dreams alive and many fans have highlighted Albie Morgan for praise after the game.

Goals from Jayden Stockley, Ryan Innis, and Chuks Aneke put Nigel Adkins' side three up before the Imps grabbed a consolation goal through Harry Anderson late on.

It was an impressive showing from Morgan, who has been in and out of the side over the past month or so but came on to replace Jake Forster-Caskey after 38 minutes and looked to be positive throughout.

The midfielder was busy in his 52 minutes on the pitch – taking 52 touches, connecting with 81% of his 43 passes, making two key passes (Sofascore), and finding Innis at the back post with a deep curling corner for the second goal.

The 21-year-old has now added two goals and seven assists in his 32 appearances this term, and will surely have put his name in the running to start their crucial final day clash with title winners Hull City.

Charlton will likely need to beat the Tigers to have any chance of making the play-offs, though even if they do claim all three points they'll still need results elsewhere to go their way.

Morgan seems to have convinced many supporters that he deserves a chance to start against Hull on Sunday.
