Derby County made it four league wins in a row, with a 6-1 thrashing of relegation-threatened, Rotherham United on Saturday afternoon.

The Rams dominated the majority of the game and will be keen to build on this impressive showing as the season heads towards a conclusion.

With seven league games remaining of this year's campaign, Frank Lampard's side have put themselves in a good position to challenge for a top six finish.

One man who looked like a man on a mission in the win over the Millers was Martyn Waghorn, who netted a hat-trick on the day in a positive display.

But his latest showing is likely to leave a Derby team-mate fearing the worst, as he could find his game time limited as a result of Waghorn's impressive showing.

Jack Marriott is that man and he's sure to find his game time limited if Waghorn can build on this match-winning performance.

Marriott has seven goals to his name and has looked like a smart bit of business for the Rams since he signed from Peterborough United in the summer.

But he he hasn't scored a league goal since Derby's 4-3 win over league-leaders, Norwich City in late December, so his goal drought will be a huge concern.

If Derby are to win promotion, it's likely to cast his future into doubt, as it remains to be seen as to whether Marriott is up to the standard of the Premier League.

But he needs to take any chance he can get in Frank Lampard's side, otherwise his future at the club certainly looks like it could be heading in the wrong direction.

Marriott will have to remain patient for now, as Lampard isn't going to be dropping Waghorn anytime soon, especially if he can continue this fine run of form.
