There has been little to shout about for Nottingham Forest fans for the majority of the season so far with the club sat in 19th place, eight points off the bottom three at the time of writing.

But since the arrival of interim boss Gary Brazil the Reds have suddenly picked up, taking six points from a possible nine with some much better performances.

Despite the reasonably poor season so far, the Reds have still had a few players who have worked exceptionally hard to turn things around for the East Midlands club.

They may have struggled to change the fortunes of the club, but these players deserve more respect and recognition for their efforts to help push the club up the league table and away from the bottom three.

FLW writer Harry Webster takes a look at two underrated Nottingham Fores players who deserve more respect and recognition...

Stephen Henderson

Since replacing Vladimir Stojkovic, the Reds have looked far better defensively with Henderson in goal.

When the Reds were shipping goals at the start of the season many fans were quick to point the finger and blame Henderson for the amount of goals conceded which in hindsight was somewhat harsh.

But since the arrival of Gary Brazil and his backing of Stephen Henderson in between the sticks, the former Charlton stopper has been exceptional.

Henderson has the club at heart and is a player that should be given plenty of respect and recognition after his recent form.

David Vaughan

David Vaughan may be getting older but there can be no denying that the Welshman is one of the most underrated players at Nottingham Forest.

The 33-year-old's composure on the ball and his ability to effectively keep the ball for his side is superb and whenever he plays for the Reds they look much better in the middle of the park.

Vaughan is a player who can still pull the strings and get the Reds playing and for this he deserves an enormous amount of respect and recognition.

Nottingham Forest fans... Do you think both of these players are underrated and deserve more respect and recognition? Are there any other players like both Henderson and Vaughan who deserve more? Let us know what you think in the comments below!
