Stoke City manager Nathan Jones has insisted that he has the full support from the club's owners and board, despite reports claiming that he will be sacked imminently.

The Mirror have claimed that the Welshman was set to be axed by the Potters after a dismal start to the 2019/20 campaign, with Chris Hughton reportedly rejecting the chance to take over at the bet365 Stadium.

A 1-0 home defeat to fellow strugglers Huddersfield Town on Tuesday night looked to be the final nail in Jones' coffin at the bet365, and after the game, he admitted that he expected the "inevitable" to happen.

But this afternoon, Jones has answered questions about his future at a press conference, ahead of his side's trip to Swansea City this weekend.

When asked about his future at the Staffordshire club, Jones said he has been in conversation with the club's owners and board this morning, and he has received their backing and support during this tough time.
