‘Seriously impressive’, ‘Incredible’ – Many Bristol City fans excited by club reveal

Bristol City have revealed footage of their new training ground, the Robins High Performance Centre, which has drawn an excited response from fans of the South West club.

City are set to move into the new complex full-time from today, some six years after the early planning for it began.

The multi-million-pound Robins High Performance Centre is in Failand, next to their old training ground, with the construction taking 13 months to complete.

The Ashton Gate outfit gave fans a first look at the completed new facilities in a video that also included a timelapse of the building process.

The state of the art complex includes three full size pitches, including a floodlit showpitch that is capable of hosting U18s and U23s games, two other training areas as well as other facilities such as a gym, hydrotherapy pool, changing rooms, medical and rehabilitation facilities, a tactics room and office space.

It also houses education and welfare facilities for City’s young players, with the Robins High Performance Centre allowing the club’s academy and senior squads to train at the same place.

Supporters will no doubt be hoping that means more players can follow in the footsteps of Antoine Semenyo by going from the academy to the first team.
