This year, Nottingham Forest are looking up the Sky Bet Championship table rather than over their shoulders, with Mark Warburton transforming the Reds into an outfit capable of pushing for a top-six finish.

Forest still have a long way to go before they can be considered as genuine contenders, with the club’s defence perhaps a weak area.

Whilst concerns might be raised over the club’s defending, Forest’s attack is exceptional, with the likes of Kieran Dowell and Barrie McKay impressing so far this season.

With that in mind, our writers take a look at who the most skilful player at the City Ground is…

George Dagless

I'd go with Barrie McKay.

The winger has been in superb form since his arrival at Forest and it wouldn't be a surprise to see top flight clubs sniffing around him soon.

He scores and sets up goals whilst he's more than happy to run at defenders and so he takes this award.

Sam Rourke

From what I’ve seen, Kieran Dowell is incredibly skilful.

The man on-loan from Everton does everything with such ease, and his ability to evade opposition defences with skill is seriously impressive.

Considering his young age, Dowell has all the technical ability to go very far in the game.

Chris Gallagher

This is a tough one.

Kieran Dowell is very good on the ball, but I'd go for Barry McKay. The ex-Rangers man is deadly in a one v one and there's not many who can stop him.

His balance and movement make him very hard to stop and his range of skills are excellent.

If he faces up any defender you fear for them, he has real quality that the fans love to see.

Adam Simeoni

I like Kieran Dowell.

The Everton loanee is an excellent passer of the ball, and works extremely well in tight spaces.

With an eye for a goal to boot, Dowell is up there with the best at the City Ground.
