Portsmouth have not had the start to the season they might have hoped for; they're currently down in 14th place in the early League One table after dropping more points last night.

They hosted Coventry City at Fratton Park and really should have registered their second win of the season. After Jordy Hiwula gave them an early scare, Ronan Curtis, John Marquis and Gareth Evans put them in the driving seat.

Coventry were then reduced to ten men before pulling a goal back but took a further blow with a second red card with a little over ten minutes left. All Pompey had to do was see the game out against nine men.

They failed. Michael Rose completed the Sky Blues' comeback and shattered Kenny Jackett's hopes of climbing as high as ninth place.

It's left Pompey fans with plenty to think about over the coming days. Jackett's decisions during the game have left some perplexed, as has the attitude of one or two of the new players.

If there is a third promotion challenge to be sustained, these fans think things have to change, quickly.
