Roma are considering a move for Fulham midfielder Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa, a report from Gazzetta dello Sport, via Sport Witness, has claimed.

Anguissa joined Fulham from Marseille back in 2018, but spent the 2019/20 campaign on loan with Villarreal, when the Cottagers were in the Championship.

Now, with Fulham having been relegated back to the second-tier at the end of last season, it seems Anguissa could once again be on the move this summer.

According to this latest update, Roma have emerged as a potential destination for Anguissa this summer, as the Serie A side look to add to their midfield options.

It is thought that Fulham will demand a fee in the region of €25million for the sale of the midfielder, although it has been suggested that that payment could be spread over several payments, with two years remaining on Anguissa's contract at Craven Cottage.

Roma are not the only side to be linked with Anguissa this summer. Fellow Serie A outfit Napoli have already been credited with an interest in the 25-year-old, while La Liga outfit Valencia are reported to have had a bid rejected for the midfielder.

Since joining Fulham, Anguissa has made 53 appearances in all competitions for the Cottagers, although he has yet to score a goal for the club.

The Verdict

This is an interesting one to consider for Fulham I think.

Anguissa has been a decent player for the Cottagers when with the club, and he could certainly help them in the battle for promotion in the coming campaign.

However, a €25million fee could certainly be useful from a financial perspective, and having that guaranteed source of income over the next few years could be helpful.

Add to that the fact that Anguissa's previous loan to Villarreal suggests he would be reluctant to play in the Championship next season, and it does seem as though a deal could be a possibility in the next few weeks.
