Brentford winger Sergi Canos has shared another update as he continues his lengthy recovery from a nasty knee injury suffered earlier in the campaign.

The Spaniard has not been available for selection since the start of October when he suffered the knee injury during training after the Bees' 1-0 loss to Nottingham Forest.

But he now appears to be upping the intensity of his recovery, sharing a video of him training on his Instagram story on Tuesday afternoon.

QUIZ: Can you name the last 11 Brentford men to wear the no. 9 shirt?

In the clip, he appears to be back to training his footwork, volleying a tennis ball back to one of the Brentford fitness coaches whilst working on his balance.

Prior to the knock, Canos was an ever present in the Bees' starting XI, notching three assists in 11 matches before suffering the knock.

However, Thomas Frank and his side have not exactly suffered without him. In his absence, summer-signing Bryan Mbeumo has stepped up impressively, scoring 11 goals and assisting five more in 26 games.

The verdict

I can't help but be incredibly impressed by Canos continued positivity during his recovery from what was a pretty nasty injury.

Plenty of players would have been rocked badly by such a big blow but the Spaniard looks intent on getting through it as soon as he possibly can.

I am sure it has effected him a bit, but the form of his side will have undoubtedly helped. The prospect of coming back into a squad who are pushing for promotion will be an exciting one for him for sure.
