Queens Park Rangers haven't convinced at all in the Championship this season, but individuals within their squad continue to catch the eye.

That's the case when in comes to Seny Dieng. The goalkeeper has made 20 appearances this season in the Championship, keeping four clean sheets for the R's.

Naturally, Premier League interest is emerging in the 26-year-old now.

What do we know so far?

As per an article from The Sun, Arsenal and Crystal Palace are tracking Dieng, alongside Premier League newbies, Leeds United.

Leeds are assessing their options in goal constantly, with Dieng impressing them.

They've currently got Illan Meslier serving as the club's first choice goalkeeper; he's had brilliant moments in the Premier League but has, admittedly, cost Marcelo Bielsa's side goals this season.

Kiko Casilla remains his back-up after sticking around at Elland Road, whilst Elia Caprile is the youngster serving as third choice.

Is it likely to happen this month?

Leeds are gearing up for a quiet month and it's hard to see any deals of note being done until the summer.

In terms of the goalkeeping department, things are fairly settled.

Meslier makes mistakes, but he's also a big personality and is settling in well to life as a Premier League player. You've got to remember that he's only 20 and has a good 15-year stint in him at this level.

Leeds are, simply, not going to sign anyone to replace him at the moment. So, in that respect, if they go in for Dieng, it's going to be as back-up to the Frenchman.

That's not the part that makes this deal unlikely this January, though. Casilla is the problem.

The Spaniard is one of Leeds' highest earners and would have to be moved on for the club to land Dieng. That's a difficult task in January and one that you can't see happening.

It's a deal that feels far more likely in the summer, if at all.
