Chris Martin is likely to leave Derby County after seven years at the club when his contract expires at the end of June.

The striker has been a key man for the Rams this season, contributing with nine goals and six assists in the Championship, meaning he is the most productive player at Pride Park in the league.

Despite that, The Athletic have revealed that Martin and the club have failed to come to an agreement over a new deal and the only way that the 31-year-old will stay is if he agrees to 'severely reduced terms'. Even then, the report explains that the financial situation at Derby means that they may not be in a position to put an offer on the table in the coming months.
