Sunderland face another huge clash as they welcome Gillingham to the Stadium Of Light this weekend.

The Black Cats are hoping to get back to winning ways after a difficult week which saw them pick up just one point from a possible six against Fleetwood Town and Coventry City.

Both sides are considered promotion rivals to Phil Parkinson's side, meaning that those results were a real blow.

However Gillingham will be no easy test.

Despite suffering defeat last week, Steve Evans' side have been on a stunning unbeaten run in the league which stretched all the way back to November.

While Sunderland are the favourites, the visitors will certainly pose a tough test.

But who will Phil Parkinson select to face Gillingham?

Phil Spencer takes his pick at the best XI for Saturday's clash.

Phil Parkinson certainly has some big decisions to make ahead of the weekend's clash with Gillingham.

Bailey Wright will of course miss the clash with an ankle injury that will rule him out for the season, while elsewhere Parkinson has a near-fully fit squad to choose from.

The Sunderland boss once again hinted at making changes for the upcoming clash, however based on recent weeks it'll be a big call to drop one of his preferred XI.

Antoine Semenyo and Kyle Lafferty have both been the subject of calls to be included in the starting line-up against Gillingham, however I'd be inclined to suggest that Parkinson will name an unchanged side once again.

Do you know where these 15 Sunderland players were signed from? Have a go!

Sunderland's defence has been the envy of most sides in the division, while George Dobson and Max Power are forging quite an understanding in the middle of the park.

While the Black Cats haven't been clinical in front of goal in recent weeks, it's hard to fault the cohesion that the front three have developed.

Lynden Gooch and Chris Maguire have shown enough quality to keep their places, while Charlie Wyke is a key cog to helping the rest of the team function - something could go amiss should he be dropped.
