There are now less than five days left for teams to sign and sell players in the Championship and one team that could be looking to do some business is Sheffield Wednesday.

The Owls have already brought in Sam Winnall from Barnsley, Morgan Fox from Charlton Athletic and Callum McManaman from West Brom but whether boss Carlos Carvalhal chooses to dip into the market once again remains to be seen.

There may not be incoming players, but over the next five days Carvalhal may look trim some of his large squad by selling a few players before the window shuts at 11pm on Tuesday night.

Wednesday have a hugely talented squad which is full of depth, but that does mean that some players are simply not getting enough game time and it would be best if they left the club.

So here are two Sheffield Wednesday men who must be axed before Tuesday's 11pm deadline...

Lewis McGugan

The former Nottingham Forest midfielder's career at Hillsborough was over in the summer when he was not assigned a squad number, placed on the transfer list and was forced to train with the development squad.

For a player who once had such potential, it is a great shame to see that McGugan has not reached the heights expected when he was a youngster.

Nonetheless, there will still be a team out there who would welcome the quality of McGugan as Carvalhal aims to re-shape his squad.

Atdhe Nuhiu

After the signing of Sam Winnall, it means the Owls now have six strikers all fighting for a starting place in the squad.

Nuhiu would undoubtedly be a coup for some Championship sides in need of a threat going forward.

The 27-year-old's ability in the air and hold up play is excellent and many Championship sides would welcome this in their side.

He has been a great servant for the Owls but with so much talent ahead of him, you sense that now would be a good time to move onto pastures new.

Sheffield Wednesday fans... Should these two players be sold? Has McGugan been harshly treated at the club? Is Nuhiu too far behind in the pecking order? Let us know what you think in the comments below!
