There is absolutely no doubt that Jed Wallace is Millwall's key man and has been for the best part of a few seasons now at the Den.

The 27-year-old is playing some of the best football of his career, however there is a great degree of uncertainty over whether he will be still plying his trade with the South London club beyond next summer as his contract runs down towards expiry.

Here, we discuss whether the Lions should sell or keep their star man this summer.

Sell

The cons for selling a player of Wallace's talents are obvious, with it sure to be a blow all round if they were to get rid of him.

His influence in terms of providing a regular source of goals and creativity would be very hard to replace given the current market.

However when looking at the player's current situation from a business and financial perspective, it would make perfect sense for Millwall to cash in on him in January.

The question is - will any of the bigger sides want to put a bid in for the winger when he could be available for nothing next summer?

Keep

Everyone associated with the club would be in favour of seeing Wallace stay put, as he is a player who is a much proven match winner.

The player himself hasn't indicated that he would want to push for a move, however with his contract running down he will want his future sorted as soon as possible.

At present Millwall don't appear to have made much in the way of progress over a new deal for the attacker, which is sure to be somewhat alarming to many.

However the club are sure to be keen on pulling out all the stops they can to try and tie the winger to a new contract at the earliest opportunity.
