Derby County
‘Sell in Jan’, ‘Apologise to the fans’ – Many Derby fans lay the blame on one man after late defeat against Preston

Derby County slipped to their first defeat in seven games as Preston North End struck a late, late blow at Pride Park.
After a turgid second half with little quality, North End captain Alan Browne scored in the 97th minute to win the game for the Lilywhites, with Derby fans furious thinking they should have been awarded a free kick in the build-up.
It was Wayne Rooney’s first taste of defeat as caretaker boss since withdrawing himself from the playing squad, while it has moved Preston to within five points of the play-offs and got them back to winning ways on the road.
There was a flashpoint in the first half of the game though that had the potential to change the game, and it proved pivotal as Preston’s one-man advantage in the closing moments was important.
Derby striker Martyn Waghorn went over the top of Browne, and he made a sickening impact with his studs against Browne’s shin.

It was perhaps as clear a red card as you’ll ever see and no Derby fan could have any complaints at Darren Bond’s decision, and because of the numerical advantage that Preston had some Rams fans are blaming Waghorn for the result.
Waghorn came in for much criticism following that incident from his own fans, check out what they were saying on Twitter below.
Waghorn take the blame , that’s not good enough !!!!!!!!!!!!

There's only one man we can blame for the result today, and that's Martyn Waghorn. Stupid decision which made us play the next 77 minutes with 10 men.
Hope Rooney gives him the massive fine he deserves

Waghorn needs to apologise to his team mates and the fans today.

I will never be clapping Waghorn again after that. Absolutely ridiculous.
