Selection headache: The pros and cons facing Sunderland boss Jack Ross ahead of Wycombe clash

Published

on

Jack Ross has revealed that he’s torn between his two centre forwards at present, with both Josh Maja and Jerome Sinclair making a claim on a first team spot.

He was quoted by the Sunderland Echo saying he could pick either or both as he hunts points in a bid to return to the Championship. This weekend they face Gareth Ainsworth’s Wycombe Wanderers, a team tough to break down and resilient at the back.

Ross revealed he’s unsure which of his strikers to play, with both showing the sort of form that would earn them a first team spot at any other side in the division. With a crucial run of games coming up, both in the FA Cup and the League, there’s a big choice to be made by the former St Mirren man.

That’s only going to get harder as the weeks progress and Charlie Wyke regains fitness, but for now it is a two-horse race.

Who should Ross pick? We look at the pros and cons of each in our latest gallery article.
