Millwall ended Reading’s seven-game unbeaten run on Saturday afternoon, as the Lions ran out 2-0 winners at The Den to stay in touching distance of the top six.
Goals from Matt Smith and Jon Dadi Bodvarsson in the final twenty minutes of the contest ensured Millwall’s excellent run in the Championship continued.
Gary Rowett’s side have now lost just once in their last thirteen league games. The result sees the Lions remain in seventh place in the table, one point behind Swansea in the last play-off berth.
QUIZ: Can you name every Millwall player’s shirt number?
Rowett changed the shape of his team on Saturday, reverting back to a 4-4-2 instead of the recently used 3-4-3, with Matt Smith coming back into the team and new signing Ryan Woods making his debut in central midfield.
The 30-year-old striker got his seventh league goal of the season in the process, hitting a low shot into the bottom corner to open the scoring.
