Leeds United are well in the hunt for the Sky Bet Championship’s play-offs this season, with Thomas Christiansen’s side entering the festive period with high hopes of achieving a top-six finish later this season.

Christiansen has used a select group of players over the course of the season, particularly in recent weeks, with the same core of players used during a magnificent run of form that has seen the Whites pick up 13 points from a possible 18.

Key to Leeds’ good run has been some improved defensive performances, with Luke Ayling, Pontus Jansson, Liam Cooper and Gaetano Berardi forming an impressive unit ahead of Felix Wiedwald.

One player who has struggled for opportunities at Elland Road has been Matthew Pennington, the on-loan Everton defender, who finds himself down the pecking order.

Regardless, Leeds are keen to land a permanent deal with Everton over Pennington, with the Whites keen to get the 22-year-old at Elland Road on a permanent basis in the summer, according to the Yorkshire Evening Post.

Following the latest update on Pennington, here is how Leeds’ supporters reacted…
