Birmingham City have confirmed that Omar Bogle has left the club after his loan deal was cancelled by mutual consent.

The striker arrived at St. Andrew's in the summer from Cardiff City but had to settle for a role as an impact sub for the majority of the campaign due to the form of Lukas Jutkiewicz and Che Adams.

And, with Isaac Vassell now returning to full fitness, Bogle may have slipped further down the pecking order.

Therefore, the club confirmed on their website that an agreement had been reached to end the loan, allowing the 25-year-old to join League One high-flyers Portsmouth.

Despite his lack of regular game time, Blues fans took to Bogle, who always worked hard for the team and his only goal in 15 games was a stunner against Stoke City - then managed by ex-Birmingham boss Gary Rowett.

So, whilst many supporters understood the decision, there were many appreciative comments about the striker.
