Sheffield Wednesday supporters would have been hoping to build on last season’s Play-Off final finish and, while it’s not been easy, they’re not far off and are so far set to end the campaign in the top six again.
Manager Carlos Carvalhal hasn’t actually altered the squad that much either, compared to the likes of Leeds United and Reading, who have bought quality in abundance to further their own promotion hopes.
So, with a similar team, and competition for places fierce in the side, it’s clear as to why they look set to finish in the Play-Offs.
The Owls currently sit on 49 points, 25 short of their complete tally at the end of last season and they still have seventeen matches to play. Still, they have Norwich City, Derby County and Barnsley knocking on the door, meaning there is oh so much still to play for this term.
Wednesday have plenty of strength in their squad and Carvalhal would have been pleased to keep hold of his better players in January, and adding one or two faces as well.
With that in mind, here are the THREE Sheffield Wednesday’s best players this season so far…..
