Patrick Bamford was perhaps more frustrated than anyone following Leeds United’s defeat to Sheffield United last weekend, which was reflected in his comments about the opposition's celebrations.  

Leeds conceded three points to Chris Basham’s second-half goal, with Bamford stating in the Yorkshire Evening Post that the way Sheffield United’s fans and players celebrated you’d think they had already won promotion back to the Premier League.

There are, of course, eight games to go, with Leeds still firmly in the mix with the Blades and Norwich.

And, those celebrations were the focus of Phil Hay’s column in the YEP this week.

Whilst Sheffield United would be foolish to get ahead of themselves, Leeds’ players had built up the contest all week, as the column points out.

Now, almost a week after, the dust hasn’t settled and the defeat is still on the minds of Leeds’ supporters.
