Chris Ramsey was let go as manager of QPR in November after winning just eight of the 30 games for which he was in charge of the West London club.

Despite the uncertainty around who will be the next boss of the club in the long term, QPR are still in play-off contention in the Championship.

Here is a look at the three men who have been linked with the job at Loftus Road.

Neil Warnock

The reins at QPR were handed over to Warnock when Ramsey was dismissed as a short-term fix to their managerial vacancy. Although the club have not given any indication as to whether Warnock may be given a permanent contract, the longer they take to bring in a replacement, the better chance he has of making the role his own.

Warnock enjoyed a largely successful spell at QPR between 2010 and 2012. He steered the club away from relegation in his opening season in the Premier League when it looked like they would drop out of the top flight.

At the age of 67, Warnock has a wealth of experience in the Championship and knows exactly what it takes to gain promotion from the league.

Nigel Pearson

Opinion is divided on how much of Leicester’s success this season is down to Nigel Pearson, who was dismissed from the club in the summer.

The Foxes are 7-4 to finish in the top six this season which would allow them to qualify for Europe where they would be included in the UEFA competitions betting for the 2015/16 Europa League.

Many of the players who joined Leicester over the summer were recruited by Pearson and have transformed the club from relegation candidates to being on the cusp of reaching Europe.

Pearson had many fallings out at Leicester, which included run-ins with his own players, the opposition whilst on the touchline and the media. Although the Foxes were languishing in the bottom end of the table for large parts of the season, he did get enough from his squad to survive relegation.

Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink

Former Chelsea forward Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink has been linked with every vacancy that has been available in the Championship this season.

The Dutchman has done a fantastic job at Burton in his first managerial position in England. He took over the Brewers in 2014 and in his first season helped the club to gain promotion into League One from League Two.

Not many people expected Burton to be challenging at the top end of the table in League One this season, however, under the guidance of Hasselbaink they are in contention for back-to-back promotions.

Although Hasselbaink does not have the managerial experience of a Warnock or Pearson, he would likely be a popular appointment given how well he has gone at Burton with a limited budget.

He was well respected as a player and is likely to have several contacts in the game which he could use to help attract players to QPR.
