Charlton Athletic face their toughest test yet under the caretaker charge of Johnnie Jackson when they host Rotherham United on Tuesday evening.

Both sides earned four goal victories at the weekend however the Millers' came over Sunderland and so commands a bit more respect than the Addicks' thrashing of lowly Doncaster Rovers.

Jonathan Leko was forced off early on with an injury against Donny and therefore will be very unlikely to feature with Jackson having a few options to choose in his place on the right. United are direct under Paul Warne but incredibly effective as Saturday proved and former Charlton man Michael Smith will be intent on carrying on his free-scoring form against his former employers.

We are predicting just one change to the side that beat Donny with a break from league action on the horizon Charlton can rotate in their cup exertions to come.

Sean Clare replaces Leko as the only alteration. Diallang Jaiyesimi stepped in from the bench on Saturday however with Rotherham much more dangerous going forward Jackson may plump for an option that offers significantly higher defensive efforts.

It would be Clare's first start under Jackson but the 25-year-old does seem quite high in the former midfielder's estimation, making a substitute appearance in each of the club's last two.

The majority of Charlton supporters would be content with a point against the high flying Millers however the caretaker manager will be determined to maintain his 100% record in the dugout and push the side further away from any relegation concerns.
