Scunthorpe United pursuing deal for Premier League striker

Scunthorpe United could make a move to sign Crystal Palace striker Freddie Lapado, according to Alan Nixon on Twitter.

The 24-year-old striker is not looking likely to be getting any minutes for the Eagles this season and has already enjoyed loan spells away from the club with the likes of Shrewsbury and Oldham.

However, it now looks like Ladapo could be on his way to another League One outfit with the Iron looking to sign the forward before the transfer window closes at the end of this week for clubs in England.

Ladapo was in decent form the Shrews last season during his time on loan, notching four goals as he impressed with his all around game and performances catching the eye of plenty of onlookers throughout the campaign.

The striker moved to Palace from non-league Margate but has failed to have any sort of impact at Selhurst Park and another loan spell looks like being the most logical move for all parties involved.

Iron fans, what do you think to this? Good signing? Let us know in the comments!
