Scunthorpe United pair Sean McAllister and Eddie Nolan have signed new contracts with the League One-bound club, according to the BBC.
McAllister, who began his career at Sheffield Wednesday and moved to Glanford Park last summer from Scottish Championship side Cowdenbeath, has penned a two-year deal to remain with Russ Wilcox’s team.
The 26-year-old made 43 appearances in all competitions during 2013-14, and his performances in Scunthorpe’s League Two promotion campaign were impressive enough to win him the club’s player of the year award.
Nolan, who has signed a one-year deal and is a Republic of Ireland international, is currently in his second spell with The Iron and played 40 games last term.
Both men join defender Niall Canavan and winger Terry Hawkridge in committing their future to Scunthorpe since the climax to a successful season which saw the club go unbeaten for 28 matches at one stage.
