Scunthorpe United agreed terms with Sheffield United forward Lyle Taylor late last night and the deal is expected to be completed on Monday for an undisclosed fee, according to @Mikewhitesport.
The report surfaced at 11am this morning that Taylor and The Iron agreed terms for a two-year deal, and follows on from the news reported earlier today by Football League World that Scunthorpe were close to bringing in a new striker.
Taylor previously played for Sheffield United, for whom he signed in the summer of 2013 having taken Scotland by storm by scoring 29 goals in 34 games for Falkirk.
Taylor flopped at Sheffield United, however, scoring only two goals in 20 appearances before falling out of favour with new Blades boss Nigel Clough.
He was then shipped out on loan to the Scottish Premiership side Partick Thistle, where he scored seven goals in 20 matches.
