Preston North End could see striker Louis Moult make a move back to Scotland, despite only signing in January, with Scottish giants Rangers tracking the striker ahead of a summer move.

According to a report by the Sun, the forward is struggling to settle in Lancashire, and his form has showed that, with Moult failing to capture anything like the displays he was putting on for Motherwell previously.

Moult was in red hot form for Motherwell earlier in the season that form was enough to convince Preston to make a move for the striker, who duly signed during the January window and was hoping to help Alex Neil's men kick on and push for a place in the top six in the Championship.

However, things have simply not worked out thus far, and Moult could well see the appeal in making a move back to the Scottish Premier League with Rangers, who are hoping to begin to close the gap on runaway league winners Celtic in the coming seasons.

Any move for Moult though would need to wait until the summer, with Rangers needing to cough up a fee to North End to secure his services.
