Scottish giants Rangers are interested in signing Wolves playmaker Kevin McDonald, according to the Express and Star.
The former Sheffield United midfielder was left out of the Wolves squad which beat MK Dons this week, after being substituted at half time in a recent fixture with Charlton Athletic.
It now appears that Rangers, newly promoted to the Scottish Premier League, are showing an interest in taking the central midfielder, who in 2014 was voted Wolves player of the year by fans.
McDonald has previously spent time with Burnley, before he made his name with Sheffield United as the key man in the midfield under Danny Wilson, proving influential as United made it to the play off final against Huddersfield.
A move to Wolves followed, where he helped guide the club to promotion back to the Championship, and he has been one of the first names on the team sheet ever since.
However, something appears to have gone wrong for the Scot, and training with the youth team and being out of the first team is a real come down for McDonald.
Wolves fans, what do you think? Is it just a dip in form? Has McDonald done something else we arent aware of? Let us know using the comments below!
