Plymouth Argyle captain Curtis Nelson is a target for Rangers boss Mark Warburton, according to the Plymouth Herald.
Nelson, praised by many for his performances throughout the season as Argyle lost 2-0 to Wimbledon at Wembley in the play-off final, is out of contract at Home Park this summer, although he has been offered a new deal by Derek Adams.
He captained the side at just 19-years old, and has since been monumental in a turnaround that has seen the club go from near-bust to Wembley in five years.
However, if Warburton gets his way, Nelson’s final appearance for the Pilgrims will be the play-off final defeat at Wembley.
He has already signed Accrington Stanley duo Matt Crooks and Josh Windass, plus Burnley’s Joey Barton as he gives the newly-promoted Scottish Premiership side a more ‘Football League’ look.
Nelson, who spent six years as a teenager at Stoke City, has also been linked with a move to League One Bolton earlier this summer.
