Hogan arrived at Villa Park during the January transfer window, but suffered a serious ankle injury in just his fourth appearance for Villa, which saw him miss the last five fixtures.
Steve Bruce reintroduced Hogan as a second-half substitute at the DW Stadium, where the 24-year old doubled Villa’s lead following James Chester’s opener, to take his tally of goals to 15 for the season- having previously scored 14 for the Bees.
Hogan’s quote read: “The injury hasn’t helped but all you have to do is keep playing your football and keep trying.”

Saturday’s victory was Villa’s fifth in their last six games, a run of results, which has seen them move to 12th in the Sky Bet Championship table, and ease any relegation fears.
With just eight fixtures of the season remaining, Hogan will be looking to add to his 15-goals this season, and remain injury-free.
