Many Blackpool fans have taken to Twitter to react to the news that Stuart McCall has been appointed as the club’s new assistant head coach for the 2021/22 season.

The former Bradford City boss had been out of work since December of last year since leaving the Bantams but now joins the club that his father played for during the late 1940s and early 1950s.

McCall brings a wealth of experience to the position after managing the likes of Motherwell, Scunthorpe United and Bradford over a long and seasoned career that has also seen him act as assistant manager for the Scottish national team.

Naturally the news of McCall’s arrival at Bloomfield Road didn’t take long to reach the Blackpool faithful, with many taking to social media to air their views after the announcement was made earlier on today.
