Former Nottingham Forest striker David Johnson has hit out at the club after the Reds' disastrous start to the season.

The East Midlands outfit fell to a 2-1 defeat against Cardiff City yesterday, meaning they are bottom of the league having picked up just one point from their opening six fixtures.

That has unsurprisingly resulted in the pressure building on boss Chris Hughton but Johnson took to Twitter to hit out at the hierarchy at the City Ground.

"Just so angry and disappointed how this club is ran. It’s embarrassing ( the whole board should of gone. ) they are a disgrace. Last time I said anything bad about the club. Gainnis called me. I’ll wait for his call I guess as I was right the first time."

As well as playing for Forest, Johnson still has a connection to the club now, as son Brennan has come through the academy and started on the wing in the defeat to the Bluebirds.

For many fans, they were delighted to see the ex-player call out the board, whilst they also pleased to see that he still has a lot of passion for the Reds.
