Stoke City will be looking to continue their unbeaten start to the season tonight as they play host to Sky Bet League One side Doncaster Rovers in the second round of the Carabao Cup.
The Potters head into this evening’s game off the back of a great win over Nottingham Forest at the weekend as they strengthened their reputation for being some people’s favourites for promotion from the Championship.
Michael O’Neill has got his side playing some great football and the Potters look to be playing with a lot more creative freedom after initially taking some time to get used to the Northern Irishman’s methods.
They take on a Doncaster Rovers side who are yet to taste success in the league so far and only just scraped into this round of the cup after winning on penalties against League Two Walsall following a 0-0 draw in normal time.

Here, we take a look at how Stoke City could line up for tonight’s cup clash against Donny:
O’Neill is likely to make multiple changes to the side which won against Forest, with the first of those switches likely to be Adam Davies coming in for Joe Bursik in goal.
Elsewhere, the Potters are expected to bring in defenders Morgan Fox and Danny Batth to the back three alongside Harry Souttar.
Meanwhile Romaine Sawyers is in line to make his first start for the club after joining on loan from West Brom and is likely to slot in alongside the likes of Jordan Thompson and Mario Vrancic in the centre of the park.
Alfie Doughty should come in for Josh Tymon at left wing back, whilst Tommy Smith is expected to keep his place on the right hand side.
Up front Steven Fletcher should be rested, with Sam Surridge looking likely to come in up top to partner Jacob Brown.
