Leeds United returned to the top of the Championship with a convincing 3-0 win over Reading at the Madejski Stadium on Tuesday evening.

Goals from Pablo Hernandez (2) and Mateusz Klich proved to be enough for Marcelo Bielsa's side in an impressive first-half showing.

But Leeds will feel as though this would have been the perfect opportunity to improve their goal difference against a shaky-looking Royals defence.

One man who spurned a number of good opportunities for the Whites in the second-half was striker, Patrick Bamford.

The former Middlesbrough forward missed three guilt-edge chances for Bielsa's side which would have certainly have dented his confidence after an impressive return from injury in recent weeks.

Bamford will be hoping he can put this behind him and play his part in a crucial game against Sheffield United at Elland Road this weekend which could decide which direction their season heads in.
