Wolverhampton Wanderers have cruised to the Championship crown under the tutelage of Portuguese boss, Nuno Santo, with the West Midlands side set to return to the Premier League following a prolonged absence.

Criticised by some for their relationship with super-agent, Jorge Mendes, Wolves have utilised their links with the representative of Cristiano Ronaldo to acquire a plethora of top stars from across the globe, players which have played a significant role in their success this term.

Diogo Jota have been a revelation since the unknown Portuguese was picked up from Atletico Madrid's reserves and Frenchman Willy Boly has proven to be a shred addition at the back after joining from Porto in the summer months.

However, despite the success of the majority of their summer loan signings, Santo should consider abandoning plans to sign this pair on permanent deals...

The Brazilian's electric start to the season had left fans across the country wondering why the player has been left to rot in the Saudi top-flight with Al-Hilal.

By Christmas the 24-year-old had amassed an impressive twelve goals and was on course to claim the Golden Boot.

Since the yuletide festivities, the player has failed to find the back of the net.

Five long months without a goal have seen the striker fall to the bench, replaced by January loan siging Benik Afobe, with the Bournemouth man's arrival coinciding with  Bonatini's fall from grace.

With Wolves promoted and a vast transfer kitty set to be available to Santo in the summer, there will be far better players on the market than the out of form Brazilian.

The teenager linked up with the Molineux outfit from Monaco in the summer on a deal until the end of the season, with opportunities at last year's Champions League surprise package set to be limited.

Although the nineteen-year-old has tasted first-team action during his time in the Black Country, chances have been sporadic and a return to the south of France appears likely in the coming weeks.

Vinagre is a talented youngster with bags of potential, but appears to be some way behind the likes of Barry Douglas and Matt Doherty on the flanks of the Wolverhampton back line.

The player's next move must take him to a club in which he is considered the first choice option and this will simply not be the case under Santo.

A shame to see him go as he offers depth, but Vinagre is unlikely to accept another season warming the bench.

Wolves fans, thoughts?
