Birmingham City's revival in the Championship is quite remarkable when you consider what's going on behind the scenes.

After a disappointing summer plagued with Financial Fair Play problems, and a start to the season that consisted of one win in their opening eleven league games, Garry Monk has turned the tide around at St. Andrews.

They may have gone winless in their last two league games, but after four wins in their last six games, the Blues are back on track, and have shown that they really are capable of forming a promotion push this season.

Monk's men sit 12th in the Championship table, just four points of the play-off places, with the small matter of a trip to Aston Villa on the horizon.

A key reason to their upturn in form? Lukas Jutkiewicz and Che Adams - the strike duo have netted 17 of Blues' 23 league goals this term - and we think the chemistry in that attack is pretty high.

The Championship's Player of the Month for October, Lukas Jutkiewicz has been in fine form for the West Midlands club this season - the 29-year old has netted nine times and produced three assists in 17 appearances this term, giving Blues a different dimension up front.

With just 18 goals in his previous 74 appearances for the club before this season, the powerful forward is a somewhat unlikely hero at St. Andrews, but who knows what could happen if he continues this form.

He holds up the play and brings Blues' flair players into the game, as well as knocking the balls on for the pacey Adams to run onto.

Jutkiewicz' presence therefore brings Adams into the equation - the 22-year old has been another standout performer for Blues following his arrival from Sheffield United a couple of years back.

He can both score and create goals, having netted eight times and assisting twice this season, and if he keeps up this scintillating form, Premier League clubs are bound to come knocking sooner rather than later.

Clearly, the duo are the perfect partnership - the big man little man combination that has served several teams well over the years, is working wonders for Monk currently.
